Creating Options: Financial Aid for Individuals with Disabilities (www.heath.gwu.edu/node/7) provides an overview of student financial aid and discusses the roles and responsibilities of those who play a significant part in the process of providing aid to students with disabilities.  The guide contains an extensive listing of scholarships available to individuals with disabilities.

Financial aid is any grant, scholarship, part-time employment, or loan offered for the purpose of helping students pay education-related expenses.  Such aid is usually provided by federal, state, university, or private agencies.  The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (www.fafsa.ed.gov) must be completed to determine your eligibility for financial aid.  Contact the Office of Student Financial Affairs (www.sfa.ufl.edu) if you have any questions or need additional information about student financial aid.
